The HFRxLeBron 16, the last shoe of NBA player LeBron James, was released last September 7. A few days before, the model was unveiled at the Harlem Fashion Row Gala (HFR), a fashion collective based in New York that brings together designers from various backgrounds and highlights women’s work.

Some of them have been chosen to design the HFRxLeBron 16. Kimberly Goldson, Fetisha Noel and Undra Celeste Duncan were handpicked by the founder of HFR to bring their artistic vision to Nike, in the framework of the designing of this basketball pair sold on release for 200 dollars.

Associating the designers of Harlem was intended to expose them and to bring to light their know-how. “I believe that African-American women are among the strongest on the planet. I grew up with incredibly strong women and I’m inspired by the strength I see around me, including my mother, my wife and my daughter,” said LeBron.

The HFRx LeBron 16 is the first LeBron signature designed by women. This shoe is therefore not only a fusion of inspiration, but also a positive message to the women folk.
