Thomas Ngijol in the skin of “Black snake”
The actor slips into the character of a superhero endearing by his little Dandy-loser side. Released, February 20, 2019…
In the range of super-heroes in tight pants, there are those whose charisma don’t allow for wrong moves. “Black Panther,” “Captain America,” “Batman,” are all hard-cores with big muscles that can’t be picked up.
“Black Snake” does not have that assertion. Though he possesses super powers in a little deterrent physical appearance, he happens to have worries with the car. Dressed like a milord, Thomas Ngijol deconstructs the image of the charismatic superhero to a graph smile.
The actor of Cameroonian origin embodies the character of Clotaire, returning home (Cameroon) after several years in Paris. Addicted to fashion and women, he returns and pays visit to his grandfather, an expert in martial arts. After the death of the latter, he is bitten by a yellow serpent whose venom gives super powers. Empowered with an unparalleled force, the old Parisian becomes the vigilante-in his own way-of the city. He is even strong enough to confront Hezekiah, the scoundrel/bandit of the village.
Co-directed with Karole Rocher (his companion), “Black Snake” is the third thread of Thomas Ngijol as a filmmaker, after “Case Départ” and “Fastlife”. In the casting of this next film, we will find actors like Edouard Baer and Michel Gohou.
The trailer has put water in the mouth of film buffs, eager to be on February 20, 2019, the date of the release of this movie.
