Haute Couture adds color in NDjamena

The 8th edition of N’Djamena Fashion Week SAAMHA was held from 6 to 8 December at the Hilton Hotel of the Chadian capital.

This event was marked by the Haute Couture Parade, which kept to its best promises. Several designers presented their creations during this grand parade. Both Obedia Tamadji, a Chadian designer resident in Cameroon and the Cameroonian designer Maurice Leroy, enjoyed their first parade on the podium. The Tchadian designer Saalah Couture, the favourite of this edition was very much applauded for the quality of his work despite his handicap.

The Ivorian stylists Isabelle Anoh and Patric Essoh, Gabon Christer, Senegalese Tonty, Emma Style and the Moroccan Fatima Firas were also part of the great event. All collections presented during this parade are on sale since December 9th at the Shop by Mine de Rien located at the Hilton Hotel in N’Djamena.

Members of the African Fashion Week Association have come to support Solken Ngarmbatina, the promoter of N’Djamena Fashion Week Saamha, who is also a member of the said association.

N’Djamena Fashion Week Saamha is a rendez-vous of African fashion in Tchad whose reach out is already felt throughout Africa. Being the springboard for several designers and also Tchadian models, she is driven by the ambition to give a positive image of the Tchad worldwide.

This event has become a fashion week for two years running.
