The information was given this Tuesday during the press conference launching of the event scheduled for 23 February to 02 March in Ouagadougou.
The countdown to the Fespaco 2019 is launched. The press was gathered in Paris on Tuesday 15 January to talk about it. Ardjouma Souma, the general delegate of this biennale, made the trip to address the numerous press who came in their number, on the specificities of the 26th edition of the Fespaco, which coincides with its fiftieth anniversary.
On this occasion, Burkina Faso decided to put the small dishes in the big ones. Many branded guests are expected. Some will even come from Hollywood: Will Smith, Idris Elba, or Omar Sy. Other guest stars such as Mercy Johnson, Emile Abessolo Mbo, Issaka Sawadogo, Michel Majid and Jacky Ido are supposed to make the trip to Ouagadougou for the Fespaco 2019.

As mentioned in a previous article, Sidika Bakaba is one of the guests of honor of the 26th edition of Fespaco. He will be alongside actors such as Eriq Ebouaney, Sonia Rolland, Isaach de Bankole and Carole Karemera. Another surprise, Jamel Debbouze, Mamane and his Parliament of laughter will also be part of this 26th edition of the Fespaco.
Many other important names of African cinema appear on the presentation booklet of the 50th anniversary of the biennial. A ¨ ssa Maiga, Mariam Kaba, Naky Sy Savane, Marie Philomena Nga, Akissi Delta, Nastou Traoré, Salimata Kamate, Rokhaya Niang, Nadia Buhari, etc.
At least 20,000 people are expected at the opening ceremony on 23 February at the Municipal Stadium in Ouagadougou. The party will no doubt be beautiful.
