African designers who have dressed Beyonce
Such titles as: “Beyonce’s stylish icon” have always been attributed to the Afro American singer Beyonce. What could be more flattering then for a creator who is more African to see his outfits displayed by the “Queen B”. When she moved to Johannesburg, South Africa for Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday, she was able to put some designers in the spotlight…
During her stay in South Africa, Beyonce highlighted her appeal for the pan-African fashion. We saw her with:
- Afrikanista T-shirt of Issa N’Diaye,
Founded in 2014 by this Franco-Mauritanian, this is the first piece worn by Beyonce. A white cotton T-Shirt on which sits a black and white shot captured in studio.
- An asymmetrical Yhebe Design skirt, by Rebecca Zoro
It was a tall, slightly adjusted skirt, made by Ivorian designer Rebecca Zoro.
- The Couture Adama Paris bag by Adama N’Diaye
Beyonce opted for the red Boyette Bag of rectangular shape
- In two-colour tunic signed by Mmuso Maxwell
- In Rich Mnisi
- In the gown for the closing ceremony signed Quiteria & Georges
