Before the ballerines for black skin, the dancers had to use makeup

So far, the manufacturers of dance shoes did not take into consideration the singularity of this race of people.

The market for dance shoes has just taken another colour. Now, ballerines adapted for black skin are marketed, in order to harmonise them with the colours worn by black-star dancers and showgirls. Last October, the Freed society of London began selling two classy types of shoes specially designed for the dancers of colour: one brown and the other in bronze.

Another brand (of the American company Gaynor Minden) started working on this segment in 2017. But, Fred of London has a larger scale in the world market. Until then, Black Star dancers had to use makeup and dye to match the ballerines to their skin tone. Now they will definitely save some crazy time and economise on makeup…

Even though the Black star dancers are still rare in the ballets, the consideration of their presence has been hailed by internet users.
